Kumkum Bhagya 5th August 2023 Written Episode Update on Mythgyaan.com
The episode starts with Akshay telling Ranbir he should have been more careful. Ranbir asks what Akshay means. Akshay says to leave it. Ranbir insists on knowing what Akshay was implying.
Akshay sarcastically asks if he needs Ranbir’s permission to say something in his own house. Ranbir repeats for Akshay to share what he was saying earlier. Akshay pretends he just wanted to tease Ranbir about the surprise.
Ranbir realizes Akshay is referring to his mother Pallavi’s visit. Akshay says he knows Ranbir’s family better than anyone. He met Pallavi at the mall and she was shocked to find Ranbir staying with the Saxenas. She was more shocked learning about Mihika and Ranbir. Akshay says Pallavi seemed happy too.
Ranbir feels Akshay has some jealousy or anger inside. Akshay denies it and says he arranged for Pallavi’s visit. Ranbir confirms he is happy to see his mother. Akshay suggests they go talk to Pallavi.
Pallavi tells Vishaka she is really happy, as this seems like Ranbir’s home and family. Vishaka says Ranbir has blended in well with them. Divya jokes about wanting a brother like Ranbir.
Pallavi feels she got another son in Ranbir. Vishaka admits she kept an eye on Mihika and Ranbir’s relationship. Pallavi asks why.
Akshay and Ranbir join them. Akshay comments that Ranbir hid things from his own mother. Mihika clarifies that she doesn’t tell boyfriends about her family, so they don’t pursue her for money and fame. Pallavi is shocked to hear about Mihika’s multiple boyfriends.
Akshay points out the awkward silence after Mihika’s comment. Ranbir announces he can’t marry Mihika. Mihika assumes he will make everyone hate him now, though she likes him.
Akshay asks Ranbir to explain why he can’t marry Mihika. Ranbir says Mihika can answer too, but she stays silent.
Ranbir reveals Vishaka was right to doubt there is nothing between him and Mihika. He admits they aren’t in a relationship, so his mother didn’t know. He says he still loves someone else, so he is not suitable for Mihika.
Ranbir notices Ashok clutching his chest in discomfort. Recalling Mihika’s mention of Ashok’s heart condition, Ranbir offers water and asks Ashok to sit down.
Ranbir clarifies to Akshay and Vishaka that he and Mihika love each other a lot. He insists they should remove any doubts, since Mihika and he are made for each other and getting married. Mihika smiles happily.
Pallavi gets happy while Akshay looks disappointed. Ranbir asks if their doubts are cleared now. Vishaka hugs Pallavi. Ranbir checks on Ashok, who says he is fine.
Pallavi decides to get Mihika and Ranbir engaged tomorrow itself. She invites Ranbir home, but he says he needs to talk to Mihika first.
Later, Pallavi tells Manpreet that Ranbir’s past and his ex-wife took him away, while Mihika brought him closer. Shahana and Prachi arrive, asking about the good news Manpreet mentioned.
The family reveals Mihika and Ranbir’s engagement news. Ranbir personally gives Prachi and Shahana sweets. Shahana congratulates them. Prachi also congratulates Ranbir.
In the precap, Prachi denies feeling jealous. Shahana asks her to be honest about her emotions. Akshay questions who is being dishonest, asking if they mean Ranbir.
